With more than two decades working inside education, nonprofit, and workforce organizations, I’ve seen the same pattern play out again and again: capable teams held back by systems that no longer fit the work. I help leaders name what’s not keeping up, put better structures in place, and build the internal capacity to keep moving forward, with or without me at the table.
“When you strengthen the systems behind the mission, you multiply the impact in front of it.”
— Manomay Kidd
Most of the organizations I work with are deeply committed to what they do. The struggle usually isn’t motivation, it’s that the structures around the work haven’t kept pace with the organization’s growth. I help teams look honestly at what’s out of alignment, redesign what’s not serving them, and put systems in place that can actually hold up over time.
Over the past twenty years, I’ve led programs across education, nonprofit, and workforce development — designing things from scratch, rebuilding what had stopped working, and coaching teams to do more with what they had.
As a senior leader, I’ve managed multimillion-dollar budgets, directed teams of 40 or more, and built partnerships across higher education and workforce sectors that measurably improved career outcomes and postsecondary transitions. Programs I’ve overseen have grown participation by double digits — not by adding resources, but by fixing the systems underneath them.
Earlier in my career, I helped develop a college access and completion model that earned national recognition. I built the data infrastructure, scaled the enrichment programming, and managed the vendor and community relationships that kept it running. That experience of building something from nothing and then growing it carefully, it’s shaped how I approach every client engagement today.
My consulting work now focuses on organizations at an inflection point: growing, transitioning, or stuck. I help teams get clear on what’s not working, build structures that fit their culture and real-world capacity, and put the right people, processes, and tools in motion.
What works at one size often stops working at the next. I’ve navigated that inflection point more than once, expanding programs across multiple sites, building departments that had no formal structure yet, and creating the operational infrastructure that let teams grow without losing quality or consistency.
That work usually involves:
